What is the hii core team?

Hii is evolving from a pilot initiative to a sustainable and long-term student organisation at TU Delft. To make this happen, we are looking for three new core members who will continue to lead the way in organising events and workshops while ensuring that Hii remains a student-driven community at TU Delft. Current hii-members will help you get started and support you on the way. Join us in shaping the future of Hii and making a lasting impact on student wellbeing!

Open positions for core team members

1. Chair

As the Chair for hii TU Delft, you will be crucial in coordinating workshops and events and managing the core team, bringing people together and making Hii happen.

Responsibilities and key activities

  • You will be the mastermind behind the coordination of workshop and event schedules. 
  • You will work closely with the Communications Officer on planning promotion throughout the semester. 
  • You will be responsible for organising regular meetings and check-ins with the rest of the team, and ensuring you are all on the same page. 
  • You can initiate and facilitate your own workshops and events alongside the rest of the team.
  • You will serve as the main point of contact for external collaborating organisations.

Learning opportunities and skill development

  • Develop your leadership and project planning skills by supporting and coordinating hii through the academic year.
  • Develop your ability to manage and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Being a part of hii, you will get additional experience in facilitating and organising workshops and events that promote awareness and reflection around wellbeing, while empowering students.

2. Communications Officer

As hiis communication officer, you'll be crucial in making hiis workshops and events visible and approachable to students across campus.

Responsibilities and key activities

  • You'll be responsible for planning and coordinating hii's promotional campaigns.
  • You'll create and update hii presentations and promotional materials, such as graphics and visuals.
  • Creating the monthly hii newsletters to keep students informed about upcoming workshops and events will be another key responsibility.
  • You can initiate and facilitate your own workshops and events alongside the rest of the team.
  • Networking and communicating with other student associations and organizations at TU Delft to initiate potential collaborations.

Learning opportunities and skill development

  • Developing visual communication and storytelling skills.
  • Hands-on experience with testing and developing promotion strategies.
  • Being a part of hii, you will get additional experience in facilitating and organising workshops and events that promote awareness and reflection around wellbeing, while empowering students.

3. Community Flourishment Officer

As the Community Flourishment Officer, you will support and empower the hii team. This involves planning internal activities that make being a part of hii fun and social while creating a safe and enjoyable space for personal development and growth.

Responsibilities and key activities

  • You will be responsible for coordinating and leading the facilitator training and enrolment. (Don’t worry, we will teach you what we know and help you on the way:))
  • You will be the core contact person and leader for the facilitator team
  • Creating & modifying facilitator progress materials such as the facilitator guide and logbook.
  • Initiating and planning social activities for the core team and facilitator team.
  • Organising meetings and events for learning and sharing experiences from facilitating workshops. 
  • You can initiate and facilitate your own workshops and events alongside the rest of the team.

  • Gaining leadership experience by supporting and guiding the facilitator team.
  • Practicing your facilitation skills and approach.
  • Being a part of hii, you will get additional experience in facilitating and organising workshops and events that promote awareness and reflection around wellbeing, while empowering students.

What does joining the hii core team require? 

No prior knowledge is needed to join. We are looking for students who are empathetic and interested in joining a community that continues to empower other students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or masters student who can commit to 1 year as a student assistant at TU Delft
  • Available for an average of 4-8 hours a week starting September in Q1, 2023. The core team agrees on the schedule, so you have the flexibility to work full time during quieter weeks and opt for time off during the examination period.
  • Available for a monthly/ bi-monthly hii team social event :)
  • Available for orientation meet-ups in June 2023


Terms
These positions are offered as part of Student Development at TU Delft and the student will be registered through Flex Delft as a student assistant with a contract for 1 year, starting mid-August 2023.
